This won't be a full review because some things have
already been shared. Great venue - evidently used
mostly for more theatrical productions, buta beautiful
building framing the stage, I thought.

The sound was very good tonight, although it was
noticeable from at least the second song (AQOT), if
not the first (APTIUT) that Dave was having vocal
challenges.

After Mart did his couple of songs, the start to In
Your Room happened, they did a couple of bars, then
faded out. Because they had problems with the start
of Stripped, I figured the same was happening with
IYR. Then a couple of folks started running around
the back of the stage. Martin followed with a quick
comment about him doing one more for us and he
proceeded with Leave in Silence.

Kerry (programmer) then announced that they would not
be able to continue without the man in the middle.
Lots of booing. Fletch then came out and said that
Dave was not well. He is okay, but not able to
continue, so Martin was going to do some songs. He
did everything mentioned in a previous post. He did
ask the crowd if they had nightmares, implying that he
was living one.

After he did his songs, Fletch approached again and
said that was it. You could tell that everyone
associated with the tour felt terrible, but there
wasn't much that could be done. In my opinion, they
handled it very professional and did the best with the
situation. I was surprised with how many songs Martin
did on the spot because he was clearly not ready for
that.

Lots of chants for Martin during his set. Most of the
crowd understood that the situation was beyond
anybody's control. Some were jackasses. A beer was
tossed at the light board. I saw it fly, didn't see
it land, and didn't see who threw it. Found out later
that it did hit the board. Hopefully, it'll be okay
for the next show.

I left the venue around 11:30 and the tour folks I
chatted with had no info about Chicago. Hopefully
we'll get good news tomorrow.

DEPECHE MODE FORCED TO CANCEL TONIGHT'S CHICAGO SHOW AND ENDED LAST NIGHT'S KANSAS CITY SHOW EARLIER THAN EXPECTED DUE TO SINGER DAVE GAHAN'S LARYNGITIS

BAND OFFER SINCERE APOLOGIES TO FANS AND THANK THEM FOR THEIR LONGTIME SUPPORT

DEPECHE MODE has to unfortunately cancel tonight's (Thursday, May 11) performance at the Allstate Arena in Chicago as lead singer DAVE GAHAN has laryngitis. After seeing a doctor in Chicago this morning, he was advised to cancel the show and rest his voice. At this time, a make-up show is not planned due to the band's scheduling but management is looking into it. Tickets for Chicago will be refunded at point of purchase.

Meanwhile, the group had to regrettably end their show last night (May 10) at the Starlight Amphitheatre in Kansas City, MO earlier than expected. Coming off three concerts in Mexico, GAHAN's voice was challenged throughout the concert by the unusually cold temperatures at the venue.

An hour into the concert - after the segment where MARTIN GORE sings a few songs - GAHAN was unable to return as he lost his voice, leaving GORE to continue on lead vocals for another 25 minutes or so.

DEPECHE MODE offer their sincerest apologies to their fans in Kansas City and Chicago and want to thank them for their longtime and dedicated support.

DEPECHE MODE's next scheduled show will take place Saturday, May 13 at Jones Beach Amphitheatre in Wantagh, NY.

DM ülesastumise Rock am Ringil kannab üle Saksa MTV.

For the first time ever a Depeche concert will be shown live on television. Their performance at the forthcoming Rock Am Ring appearance will be sent live on German MTV.

During the weekend from June 2nd to 4th, Rock Am Ring will once again take place in Nürburgring. MTV will, as usual, be on location broadcasting shows and reports livem and on Sunday, MTV will exclusively broadcast the complete Depeche Mode live concert.

For Depeche Mode, it will be the first ever concert broadcast live on the television. MTV Germany will be the only broadcast to show the entire concert - worldwide!

GOLDFRAPP als Special Guest von DEPECHE MODE

Goldfrapp setzen ihrem bislang ereignisreichsten Live-Sommer mit spektakulären Auftritten auf Festivals in ganz Europa in den kommenden Monaten die Krone auf. Unter anderem sind Alison Goldfrapp und Will Gregory samt Band in Deutschland am kommenden Wochenende bei "Rock Am Ring" und "Rock Im Park" zu bewundern, bevor sie als "special guests" Depeche Mode auf ihrem Open-Air Sommer durch ganz Europa begleiten werden.

Alison Goldfrapp freut sich auf die kommenden Monate: "Wir haben ja schon mit Depeche Mode in New York gespielt, und das war wirklich fantastisch. Die nächsten Monate werden ein richtiger Spaß für alle Fans werden."

Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass beide Bands zusammenarbeiten. Goldfrapp haben bereits zwei Songs von Depeche Mode mit ihrem elektrisierenden Sound einen unverwechselbaren Stempel aufgedrückt: "Halo", zu finden auf dem Remix-Album und "A Pain That I´m Used To" der zweiten Single-Auskopplung aus dem aktuellen Album "Playing The Angel".

Auch Depeche Mode-Frontmann Dave Gahan freut sich auf die nächste Zeit: "Es ist toll, dass Goldfrapp mit uns viele Open-Airs in diesem Sommer bestreiten werden. Es gibt da eine wirkliche Beziehung zwischen ihrer Musik und unserer. Das passt prima zusammen."

Während der bisherigen Tour zu ihrem aktuellen Album "Supernature", das in England souverän Platin eingefahren hat, haben Goldfrapp wieder einmal unter Beweis gestellt, dass sie mit ihrer spektakulären Show zu Recht zu einer der atemberaubendsten Live-Bands gezählt werden.

ah jah, et sai siis ikka Bratislavas ära käidud. kontserdil: DM supported by The Sisters Of Mercy.
ei oskagi öelda, kumb DM 2006 kontsert oli parem - kas Tallinna või Bratislava oma.
endal väga ei vedanud - neti teel (vähemalt sel ajal, kui Sisters oli välja kuulutatud) myydi ainult fänntsooni taguseid pileteid. õnneks (muidu oleks kahjuks olnd, kui oleks parema koha saand) esines Sisters peaaegu ilma suitsuta (mis muidu on põhiline vaatamisväärsus laval). nalja sai siis, kui staadioni peal lennutatavatest õhupallidest yks Sistersi ajal lavale visati ja kitarrist Chris Catalyst selle jalaga tagasi suunas, kusjuures selle käigus põrkas pall veel korraks vastu Eldritchi puusa või p*rset (seda momenti polnud nii kaugelt täpselt näha). muidu oli Sistersi sound väga hea - tavaliselt neil ikka sellist tehnikat käepärast pole. eks nad pidid umbes tunniga piirduma ja ilma lisalugudeta, aga soojendus-seti kohta oli täitsa okei värk.
DM, nagu ytlesin, esines tuntud headuses. kahjuks hakkas nende ajal rahvas nagu 1 mees käsi taeva poole ajama, nii et praktiliselt ainult kuulsin ja nägin vaid monitoride pilte, vbl 4-5 korda DM kontserdi ajal silmasin ka laval toimuvat. (selles mõttes pole nii närust kogemust mul ammu olnud.)
mis puutub DM fänne, siis eesti omad on ikka maailma parimad ja sympaatseimad. ma ei saa aru, millest tuli ebasõbralik attitude Sistersi särgi kandjate suhtes (vähemalt paar sellist näidet oli).
ja seda enne kui Eldritch oli lavalt öelnud põhiesineja kohta sõbralikul toonil "perverts we like"
ega tal vist kerge olnud - esineda publiku ees, kes suur osa ajast skandeeris "de-pess! de-pess!", aga nad esinesid siiski nii kui peab.

As we could expect the show in Tel Aviv is cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The band disappointedly announces the cancellation of the planned concert on the 3rd of August in Tel Aviv. Therefore the show tonight in Athens Greece is the last show from “Touring The Angel”.
