The Leeds based industrial-punk act Action Directe have reformed. The band have re-established themselves around the core duo of John Kind and Joel Heyes. The duo has already recorded new material, which is currently being mixed for an imminent release.

All tracks will be available for free both on the Action Directe website and on a promotional CDR. An official new release will follow later in the year.

According to the band the new material represents "a real development" in the band's music: "Although remaining typically and classically Action Directe in their use of overpowering drums, irreverent polemics, guttural guitars and goth atmospherics, the new material shows a layered and melodic edge which has added a whole new dimension to the Action Directe sound". The new tracks also see the lead vocal duties being shared between the duo.

Aga nüüd asjast ka.
Asjassepühendunud kindlasti teavad kunagist sellist bändi nimega Action Direct (just - .. Direct). See va kohalik, Eesti bänd. Tallinna-põhine (minu mäletamist mööda. Pean vast oma arhiivimaterjalides tuhnimise tegema, siis leian ehk ka Glehni? lossis toimunud intervjuu paberi peal üles).
Kas keegi teab-tunneb noid bändi poisse? On nad juhtumisi ise seda foorumit kunagi lugenud/lugemas? Oleksin väga huvitatud mõnega neist juttu ajama.

Kui keegi pahaks ei pane, siis vbl postitan ehk kuhugi mõne nende loo, mille alles hiljuti kassetilt arvutusmasinasse tõmbasin. Täiesti kuulatavad ka tänapäeval ja oma aja kohta hästi tehtud lood, kusjuures.

Action Direct'i vanemast loomingust oleks kohe väga huvitatud.
Oli mulgi kunagi kuskil kasseti peal paar nende lugu.
Tüübid muutsid hiljem ju stiili, mul kuskil riiulis nende (vist) 1997 välja antud CD, Spring vist nimeks. See oli rohkem sihuke eurotrance vms.
