|
|
On May 23d, the SPV sublabel Synthetic Symphony will release "Into The Night", the new album from FM (Fixmer/McCarthy) the duo comprising of French techno producer Terence Fixmer and Douglas McCarthy from Nitzer Ebb fame.
This is the second release from the band since the debuted in 2004 with "Between The Devil". With 14 track in total the album does sound a lot more as a finished product with a more melodic sound leaving the classic Nitzer Ebb like tunes away. The fact that Nitzer Ebb itself is back alive can be a good explanation for this move, since the first tracks we heard bring a more old school Nitzer Ebb sound.
All in all an excellent way to hear the two faces of Douglas McCarthy at work. Here's the track list:
1. Into the Night
2. Like Voodoo
3. Banging down Your Door
4. Love the Night
5. Look at Me
6. And then finally
7. Blood and Music
8. Pistol Whipper
9. A Great and Distant Silence
10. Tonight I sleep
11. Hate Me
12. Trans European
13. Make War
14. Tonight I sleep (original version)

See on küll hea uudis! |

Pole küll samasse auku, a samas liinis uudis:
Besides Nitzer Ebb, several ex-members also have started producing new material.
www.nitzer-ebb.de reports that 100% aka Dave Gooday for instance has uploaded a few new tracks on the project's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/100electronic
Julian Beeston from his side is currently producing 4 tracks for the Clear Static side-project Lights Out Loud. Previews can already be heard on www.myspace.com/lightsoutloud
Beeston is furthermore also writing and producing tracks for the Swedish act West End Girls (Tallinnaski mäletatavasti käinud).
Small detail, Isabelle of the West End Girls is the daughter of Hans Erkendal from Mobile Homes, for which Beeston produced the album "Test". Check out West End Girls at www.myspace.com/westendgirls1 including a cover of the Pet Shop Boys written Patsy Kensit track "I'm not scared" and several other Lowe/Tennat penned tracks. _________________ After all there's no after all |

iihii - see on ka tore, et 12" lood järjest on
look to me'st on vinülka peal natuke teistsugune versioon...
and then finalli soundi vist on ka natuke torgitud....
mõnus, jälle midagi uut...
banging down your door oli vahepeal myspace's ka üleval neil, tundus natuke igav....
a no pärast seda kui päevade kaupa kummitas, nii igav enam ei tundunud |

Out via Out Of Line is the newest KLOQ album "Move Forward". To be released on June 27th, the CD holds vocal assistance from, among others, Douglas McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb, Fixmer/McCarthy) and long-term partner-in-crime Greg Cumbers.
Here's what Morsley has to say about his collaboration with McCarthy: "I'd known Doug McCarthy since I met him many moons ago through Bob. They were old-skool skateboarding buddies in the early 80s. Doug had performed live with Empirion a few times and also on 'What you are'. It occurred to me that his distinctive vocals would sound perfect with a couple of the tracks, 'You Never Know' and 'Were Just Physical', so I called him up. Of course him being a first class drinking partner was an additional benefit!".
Several album tracks have been posted on the band's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/kloq so ceck them out, especial "You Never Know" is bound to become a club hit.
Below is a video of KLOQ featuring Douglas McCarthy on "We're Just Physical" live at the Gothic Festival in Waregem last year:

Ei viitsind väikse vau-uudise pärast uut teemat tegema hakata...
What happens when you cross-breed an EBM floor filler with one of the classic heavy metal tracks of the 1980s?
UCNX's "Run Your Body" is what happens, a cover of Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" set to Nitzer Ebb’s "Let Your Body Learn".
Next to 2 remixes of the title track "Run Your Body", the single also features the B-side "Burning Slowly" and a remix from UK techno-act K-Nitrate and a UCNX remix of US industrial rock act Idiot Stare. _________________ After all there's no after all |
