Pet Shop Boys have just completed their new album in a West London studio.

The album has been produced by Trevor Horn and features 10 new Tennant/Lowe songs, a short introduction (also written by Tennant/Lowe) and "Numb", a song by Diane Warren, originally recorded for the "PopArt" compilation in 2003.

Neil and Chris started writing songs for the album in January and commenced recording with Trevor Horn in May. Chris Lowe commented: "We've really enjoyed making this album with Trevor and his team and are very happy indeed with the finished result." Neil Tennant added: "We think it's a great Pet Shop Boys album and also a great Trevor Horn record."

The album is expected to be released worldwide in April 2006.

Madonna - 3 January '06
We can confirm that Pet Shop Boys have remixed Madonna's next single, "Sorry", which will be released in February. At the
moment we do not know whether "Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix)" will be commercially released or only made available on promo copies to
club DJs.

Chris and Neil remixed the track in December and Neil added some vocals to it.

Further release details will be here when we have them.

Sweet!!! Ma leierdan seda singlit PSB kodulehe pealt juba hommikust saati. Niiiiii hea lugu Vanad pole taset mitte kaotand!

Ja väga põnev uudis on see ka veel, et singli videos staaritsevad "Little Britain"-ist tuntud koomikud Matt Lucas and David Walliams, kes vähemalt minu jaoks küll selle aasta kõige suuremad naerutajad olnud. Kohe ei kujutagi ette, mis osa nad küll seal videos mängida võiks.

Igatahes ilus kevad tuleb. PSB, NBS... ja kindlasti midagi veel.

väike albumi ülevaade depeche-mode.com foorumist:

1. Psychological - probably my least favorite track on the album and not the best opener. Maybe it'll grow on me. 5/10

2. Sodom and Gomorrah Show - This should have clearly been the opening track. Much more of a pop/rock track that would have fit in well on Release. Really like it but kinda feels out of place compared to some of the more typcial psb tracks on the album. 8/10

3. I made my excuses and left - Has a retro PSB ballad feeling to me but not exaclty one of their more memorable ones. Nothing remarkable but good. 6/10

4. Minimal - Classic PSB and probably my favorite at this point. A little Peter Hook'ish Guitar toward the end and some strings that sound like they could have been on the first "Electronic" album. Ask me next week and it'll be something different. 9/10

5. Numb - Hmmm. Not sure about this one yet. I believe this was actually written by Diane Warren. Love the instrumentation and the overall feel of the track but still doesn't feel like a PSB track. Oddly enough, I could see Aerosmith singing this as one of their power ballads. 7/10

6. God Willing - Instrumental lead into...

7. Luna Park - Has grown on me tremendously since my first listen. This is a classic PSB ballad IMO. Great track. 9/10

8. I'm with Stupid - Love it now and have loved it from the beginning. 9/10

9. Casanova in Hell - Feels like a throwaway track. Another track I could see fitting on release. 6/10

10. Indefinite Leave to Remain - See Casanova in Hell

11. Twentieth Century - Again, another track that has a different feel from the classic PSB sound but still feels like the boys. I actually like this one quite abit. 8/10

12. Integral - Still has that Eurodance feel that PSB could do in their sleep if they wanted to. Kinda reminds me of Radiophonic with that pulsing beat. Good track but seems too simple for the boys to create a song like this. 7/10

PSB on üks väheseid bände üldse, kellel puuduvad nõrgad albumid.
Mööndusena nimetaksin ehk kõiki kolme "Disco"-t, kuna enda maitsega ei kattu päris sellised töötlused. "Release" oli ju taotluslikult akustilisem, mitte et geniaalsed Tennant/Lowe seda meloodiatelt nendepäraselt tugevat materjali poleks suutnud elektroonilisemalt serveerida.

PSB nagu PSB ikka. Natuke on tunda sellist esimeste albumite hõngu. Ja Psychological on muidugi päris hea.
Olemas ka 'special edition', hulga remiksidega. Sellel olev Fugitive Richard X poolt miksituna pidavat olema parem kui ükskõik mis lugu plaadil.
